609 Merritt (2 story, 10,000 sq. ft.  warehouse rehab into office space) update: work underway.

I've been thinking about conversions of less-old warehouses. Places like Werthan Mills were built as industrial buildings and weren't considered pretty or chic when constructed. But 100 years for now, will our great grandchildren be moving into lofts in Amazon distribution centers?

As in they work and live there, woof, hopefully not.

I'm not sure a big empty metal distribution center has quite the same staying power compared to a big ole brick building. They seem way easier to tear down and replace.

2520 8th Ave. South (1 story brick storefront with about 10,000 sq. ft. of retail space) update: all previous structures now razed.

I always liked the view from those windows. A multi-use building is better than a parking lot though.
