More details coming out for the 6 story mixed-use project being eyed for 467 Chestnut St. in WeHo. It will feature 151 residential units, with Braxton Brewing Company out of Cincinnati anchoring 4,500 sq. ft. the ground level retail elements, plus a 3,500 rooftop bar, and internal garage.  Green Building Certification is being sought. CIG (Capital Investment Group) Communities is the developer. Originally they were looking at 7 stories.  Studio M is the architect; Fulmer Lucas is civil engineer; Kiser + Vogrin Design is landscape architect. 

Building amenities are expected to include coworking spaces, a swimming pool, a fitness center and a second-floor amenity space. In addition, a bike repair station and electric car charging stations will be offered. All parking on the site will be within the building's structured garage.

CIG, which has the property under contract, is considering making a percentage of the residential units “affordable” if the project materializes.

They pretty much cut one floor off of the project rendering and reading between the lines Colby did not comment on the project.

I would imagine they’ll have to go from “considering affordable” units to guaranteeing a percentage for them to have Colby’s support.

Lofts at Marathon at 806 16th Ave. North (immediately north of Marathon Village) has a bit of new info: It will now be 4 & 5 stories with 320 units, as opposed to 6 stories with 416 units as announced 14 months ago. RangeWater Real Estate will now be the developer.  Groundbreaking is set for this month, with completion planned for summer of 2023. A rendering is below.

I'm with you on the massive HVAC units--maybe generators in that setup too. Do most hotels have this type of infrastructure hidden?
I liked when you could take the back way and walk from the old loading dock/dead end at Brown Street to Parson's. I hope AJC opens up Brown Street as a pedestrian way to connect to Chestnut St & adds a crossing to the Nashville Warehouse Co north of Chestnut.

In community meetings about their plans, they described the ‘greenspace’ along Houston Street as a public amenity. The fences they are putting up seem to indicate otherwise. I also hope there will be a way for pedestrians to move through the site or Brown St. to Parson’s.

I believe that patio will be for the Vinyl Lab (music venue, restaurant, bar).

Il Forno pizzeria also opening in that building.

The building further down the hill that is for lease is being marketed as meeting space.

Just to the right of the stop sign warning sign and along the ridgeline in the distance, you can see the Historic 8th Avenue Reservoir and Gate House. This is a view people may not be thinking about as much yet. But everything along Merritt is changing from people parking along the hill to get to E+Rose, pH Cocktails, & Diskin to this being the sledding spot during snowfall.

Thanks for confirming! I remembered seeing something like that & went looking for something more recent. I shared one of the updates about the Merritt Mansion development. I am still excited about everything they are doing. I just hope they can keep a pocket park at the corner of Houston & Brown like in the presentations and renderings that show the view looking south up Brown Street towards the realigned Merritt Mansion. There are going to be so many people in this area once the 3,500 units and office space are added that greenspace is going to be packed.

It is the Blackbird site. Non descript building behind Nashville sign. Yellow tape is around parking lot behind that building along 17th.
