Does anyone know what's next for that massive concrete retaining wall abutting the back? That thing held an entire concrete operation & and is now used for construction materials for AJC. I'm sure it is going to be a beast to dismantle with all the fill it is holding, but when is it coming down.

So excited to see another Mass Timber building going up. This one should have very stark similarities to the quick progression of 1030 Music Row. This project is slightly different though because the entire first floor will be a concrete podium and the top 5 floors will be Mass Timber.

Looking at the southeast isometric drawing of the building the new garage podium will butt up to the existing retaining wall. There is not an alley on the parcel viewer, so I would see no reason to tear it down. Looking at the structural drawings they are showing an 18" concrete wall along the back, so they are definitely providing a new wall for foundation purposes.

we can also see via the civil drawings that the project actually "steps-in" away from the concrete wall along that property line. I'm almost positive this is in order to avoid the existing wall footing. the Landscape drawings show this as a landscaped area, so they are going to backfill and seed this area.

101 Factory (three 4 story buildings, 204 affordable housing units just south of Travecca Nazarene Univ.) got full approval from Metro Council yesterday.  ECG Chestnut Hill LP is the developer (a joint effort of Southeast Venture and Elmington Capitol) and it appears the project will be open by fall of 2023. 

ECG Chestnut Hill LP, the group planning to acquire the property at 101 Factory Street, will develop the housing through Nashville's Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency's Payment In Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) program. 

The agreement, via passage of a resolution, commits the owners to run the site as a Tennessee Housing Development Agency low income housing tax credit property for 30 years, cementing affordable housing options for the city's tenants.

Broadstone Berry Hill will be a residential development of unknown height and units to be built by Alliance Residential on the 3.25 acres at 2500 Bransford Ave. (currently home to Mrs. Grissom's  Salads since 1955). They are still working on the purchase of the land, which some think will fetch a $15 million price.  Mrs. Grissom's recently sold control of their business to Chairman's Foods, and will be relocating to their production facility in Spring of 2022. 

No word on when construction might start, nor any renderings available yet.
