Talks between the Regent Partners/1812 Broadway and Hilton are happening for a Hilton Curio Hotel. While nothing is complete and signed on, it gives additional gravitas to this project being viable, I just hope they can save the Warren House in time.

Two buyers interested in lot at corner of Demonbreun and I-40 (next to Rhythm Condos) that is currently home to Global Motorsports.  It is .38 acres and is valued at $3.2 million.  Currently code allows for up to 95 feet in height, but that doesn't include parking garage space):

Gonna suck for the Rhythm owners with a downtown view.

Hate to see that old house go, but won't mind something being built that masks the hideous pedestal of the Rhythm.

Unrelated, but the stupid page keeps forcing a merge on me, this is from CityLab:  Nashville's Fight for Music Row

Okay... whatever!   Another Hyatt somethingorotherbrand.... http://www.tennessean.com/story/money/real-estate/2016/05/26/hyatt-hotels-gets-midtowns-21st-plaza-site-under-contract/84984972/

I had always understood this site to be owned by vandy, but I'm wrong.  And it's a waste to put a 6-story building here... although developers haven't yet said what they plan here.

Hyatt gets the property at the northwest corner of Hayes Street and 21st Avenue North that was being looked at for a 15-story hotel previously.  Could end up being a Hyatt House or Hyatt Place Hotel with 200-300 rooms…which would still put it in the 15-story range.

Slideshow of progress construction/remodeling on Belcourt Theater in today's Tennessean.  I also posted a series of exterior shots that I took a few days ago over on the Photo du Jour page:

http://www.tennessean.com/picture-gallery/entertainment/2016/06/02/look-inside-the-belcourt-theatres-renovations/85288236/

Here are a few of the shots looking inside the much-expanded lobby that will run the length of the building along Belcourt Avenue:

Looking inside the refurbished/reduced 1966 theater.  It will have the back 8 rows or so taken out and replaced by the new lobby/restrooms. The more famous 1925 theater will essentially remain intact with many improvements happening behind the walls and in the ceiling.

Music Row site that sparked the rezoning freeze has been sold.  The 4 properties along 16th Avenue South will ultimately become part of an expansion from nearby Edgehill Village.

http://www.tennessean.com/story/money/real-estate/2016/06/09/music-row-site-sparked-rezoning-freeze-sold/85648400/

The Edgehill Apartment Building at 1208 16th Ave. South is one of the historic structures that will hopefully be incorporated into the redevelopment of the 4 lots.

^^Did you read how they're going to tear one of the buildings down and put a garage or parking deck there?!  Surely that doesn't fit into Music Row's historic vibe...and surely that won't be allowed without something nice fronting 16th Ave...right?

From today's Nashville Post:

Vanderbilt University Medical Center has secured a permit for its project that will see an addition to the Carell Children’s Hospital. Turner Construction is handling the job, with the permit, which is for the installation of work trailers, valued at $12 million. VUMC has enlisted New York-based Blair + MUI Architects to handle design of what will be a four-story addition to the existing structure. Vanderbilt originally wanted to begin the project by the end of 2015.
