Is the new building an expansion of building 4?   Article reads like it will replace it, but the rendering shows remnants of the existing "star" configuration which makes it look like a renovation/expansion of the existing building.

Panattoni finally closes on purchase of the old CMA headquarters building at One Music Circle South.  After demo, work is set to begin on new 6-story, 120,000 sq. ft. building around March of next year. Below is the render they released earlier this year.  Revisions may be possible.

It's gradually filling in, but look at all the asphalt still remaining in that photo.   I'd love to see that Park Place strip mall replaced with a Hill Center type mixed use development some day.

West End Park still has a long way to go before it can actually be considered a vibrant, cohesive, well-functioning urban neighborhood, but I'm thrilled to see all of that high quality development being built there.  There's hope for you yet, West End Park!

I'm glad we're seeing more office in the pipeline. The urban core needs to attract as many tenants as possible while the economy is growing.  It's not anything spectacular, but it will serve its function well and provide additional density that can support walkable neighborhoods and transit.

Great news...the Hillsboro Village building that formerly housed  Bosco's will be reopening as Austin-base Hopdoddy Burger Bar. The 2nd floor will be redeveloped into 24 executive office suites.  The adjoining structure that used to have Sam's Sports Bar as the primary tenant is also being readied for another new as-yet-to-be announced client (probably another bar/eatery). Great to see these 1920s-era buildings repurposed yet again.

Boutique Moxy Hotel slated for an mixed use building in Hillsboro Village on the parking lot directly east of the former Sunset Grille (SE corner of 20th Ave. South and Belcourt Ave.).  Article says it will be 6 stories, but rendering shows 8.This site has been rumored for many things over the past few decades.  May finally be happening. 

"The building will offer 130 Moxy hotel rooms, 47 rental residences, a 200-car garage and ground-floor retail fronting 20th Avenue South. If operational today, the Moxy would be the only hotel in the general Hillsboro Village area."

This project has the chance to really liven up the backside of Hillsboro village.There are quite a few old houses tucked back there that could be renovated into retail or restaurants over the next 5-10 years. It is also nice to see locals involved in this partnership.
