I actually prefer this design to the old one, I really dig the detail on the facade. I do think that materials could be key to this one though, if he cuts cost there than this thing could look like a remnant of the 60's.

Still sad that the old EMI / Combine building is gone.  I wrote a lot of songs in that building...as well as Kris Kristofferson, Brad Paisley, Guy Clark and tons of others.

And yet another Hillsboro Village parking lot bites the dust!  I love to see one of Nashville's oldest truly urban neighborhoods continue to evolve and improve and densify.

That's pretty much the consensus. People on this forum (myself included) and elsewhere have thrown around the idea of having the land condemned and repossessed, levying steep fines on Palmer, etc., for a while now. Unfortunately, the city seems unwilling or unable to do anything about it. I would guess the former, as it should be relatively simple to declare this a blighted property and a menace to the health and safety of the neighborhood. Goodness knows it's been done for less egregious examples.

Thanks... is that the rendering attributed to this project?  I recall the article announcing this showed what one looks like but did not have a rendering for the site.  Thought it would be 12-15 stories.
