My niece wanted to some NC born and based Krispy Kreme doughnuts so I headed to the West End.  Saw the Graduate Hotel beautiful building.  Some other miscellaneous apartment towers.  This area is becoming an extension of downtown.     My niece said that 2 Boot pizza place was good but she could not explain what a Louisiana pizza was LOL.  If one of you can please explain....

The Rock Block Flats project will get underway by October according to Tony Giarratana today. The development will now feature 100 residential units as opposed to the previous 36 planned. All will still be behind the existing historic structures facing Elliston Place.

IMO, a perfect example of how development can seamlessly integrate into the rock block while keeping all of its history.

Athens Restaurant has found a temporary home at 2017 Belmont Blvd. (where PM resides).  It may end up becoming their permanent residence. They are vacating their space on 8th Ave. South soon so the owner can develop a new set of storefront retail spaces. 

PM will stay as a 4-10 PM restaurant, and Athens will take the 6 AM to 2 PM slot.

I was watching a drive thru video on Youtube of Broadway yesterday and noticed the auto maintenance place underneath the Nashville Sign is closed.  Does anyone have an idea of what may be happening at that spot?

It has been closed for a while. The entire site may be redeveloped at some point but they are looking for a tenant for that location. They want to develop it into a high-rise project at some point.
