New business being built at 2410 Gallatin.  Someone mentioned what it is to become before, but I can't recall.

Looking NE along Gallatin half a block north of Straightway Ave:

I think that is the new Youngs Fashions store that's moving from the Hill Center to make way for Sprouts

Nice replacement of the previous building. Is that a rooftop bar, or balcony for residential. Surprised if it will be the former.

Last I heard the top floor was going to be airbnb'd.

Man I hope this building is successful in establishing a new scale for the 5 points area. That forrest & main development can't come soon enough...

Gaylord announces plans for a mixed use development on the property across Briley Parkway that was once targeted for a water/snow park. No timeline or details to reveal at this time.

Ugh. I was really hoping the Dollywood water/ski park project (or an actual theme park) would materialize. Nashville is one of the largest markets in the U.S. without a theme park...certainly the demand is here. Nashville Shores is a mediocre-at-best water park, and the new indoor/outdoor waterpark at the hotel will be for resort guests only.

BRING BACK OPRYLAND USA.

What he said....Music Valley is for entertainment and hospitality, not office workers. Is that old Zayre's bldg. across from Genesco still empty? If so, that would be a good spot for some office space on that side of town-not across from Opryland.

Having lived in Donelson for four decades, my feeling is that office, retail and residential use for the land east of Briley Parkway is far more desirable than additional tourism related development.  Opryland theme park is dead and buried. My prediction has always been that there will never be another such park developed here. (I worked there for nearly twenty years, so I have a bit of insight into the workings of that industry.)
