The 3.1 acre site at 1600 Lebanon Pike has been purchased for $1.4 million by a partnership affiliated with BNA Investments for a different residential project.  The plan is for a 4 story building with 63 condos and 16 separate townhomes.  No name for the development has been given, and no rendering made available yet.  Bernard L. Weinstein & Associates is the architect.  No word on when it will get underway or projected opening date.

Originally the plot was going to be The Somerset  featuring 25 townhomes.

The Basement East concert venue (475 capacity) could reopen by year's end.  A $710,000 permit has been granted for the rehab from massive damage of the early March tornado.

"Thankfully, we were able to salvage the main floor and front facade of the building, which will enable us to rebuild much faster than anticipated," said co-owner Dave Brown told the Post.

According to D7 Emily Benedict and D6 Brett Withers, East Nashville will be adjusting one street (Straightway Ave), to allow pedestrians, cyclists to use more of the street. This is to help people get out to exercise while maintaining social distancing. 

Local traffic, deliveries, lawn-mowing services will be allowed. There will likely be signs at the entrance to the street indicating the adjustment in rules, ie. a reduction in speed, local traffic only, peds have right of way, etc.

Many other cities have initiated these programs under such names as #SlowStreets. In those cities it’s been an experiment with adjustments being made week over week to capitalize on successes and discontinue unsuccessful practices. It should be viewed as such in Nashville. An ongoing evolving experiment.

Ah, and they've already changed the parcel so I can't look at the ownership history.  I'd bet a case of Yazoo that the last owner just inherited it and then profited.  Bootstraps!

The 14,215 sq. ft. building on 1.24 acres at 935 East Trinity Lane has sold via auction for $1.9 million.  It has been rehabbed 6 years ago into a communal work space.  No word yet on who the new owner is or their intentions.
