Sounds very big.  No rendering with article.  Developer is Key Properties, who are also building 805 Lea.

From the article:  Seven-hundred units, retail space, two parking garages, a dog park and a courtyard are currently noted in design plans.

Rangewater Development our of Atlanta is looking to build a 350 unit residential project on 3.6 acres at 51 Oldham St. The site has an unused 1 story, 11,000 sq. ft. warehouse on the site that used to be part of Goodwill Industries.  Hotelier Jay Patel currently owns the plot (he paid $6.25 million for it 4 years ago), and it is not clear of he is going into partnership for this project. Poole & Poole Architecture will be handling design; Catalyst Group is handling civil engineering and land-planning.  No renderings yet.

They've installed the new large windows in the main building and planted some trees along the northern edge since these shots were taken. They've also recently put a new roof on the old parsonage. I'm eager to see construction start on the new houses ringing the main structure.

This area of EN is going to look a lot different in the next 5 years. 
 

- Hill Center Greenwood (complete)

- Eastwood Village (permits for the residential portion should be issued soon.)

- The Wash

- Former laundromat at 1202 Gallatin. No word on what is going there but a lot of work is being done.

- 1201 Gallatin (old Krispy Kreme/meat packaging facility). I’ve heard who the buyer is and they should close on the property in the next couple of weeks. It will be interesting to see what they have planned for the site. There was a fire hydrant test permit applied for back in December and the project name was ‘Fifth 3rd Bank Gallatin’.

- Tabla Rasa Toy store at 2039 Greenwood Avenue. They were issued a building permit last week. 
 

- Porter Hill: the redevelopment of Berkshire Place Apartments. I’ve heard this is still moving forward. The gas station near the apartments just sold.

A 17 unit (3 stories?) townhome project is slated for the .83 acre site at 1235 Dickerson Pike (SE corner of Dickerson and Douglas Ave.).  It is unclear who the developer is at this point.  The 1930s-era set of storefronts there were demolished earlier this year to make way. No rendering yet available.

Homegrown Taproom & Kitchen in Donelson recently announced a new expansion. From their Instagram post:

We are expanding into the vacant space beside us to build you a Beer Pavilion! The additional 1,200 square feet of space will include garage doors on the front and back and sky lights in the ceiling to bring as much of the outside in as possible. In our current space, we are expanding the dining room and bar to nearly double our seating capacity.

943-947 Woodland St. has been scraped clean due to significant damage from the March 2020 tornado.  Originally the plan was to rehab the 1 story structure, but now a new mixed-use structure is planned of ground level office space and residential upstairs.

Amazing that they would rebuild this As-is. I suppose it’s the easiest path, to just take the insurance $ and rebuild. But if they took a look around they might notice the land has potential for a street fronted plaza with 4-5 stories of housing above. I’m sure there’s hidden factors that go into every decision.
