GBT Realty continues to be aggressive with purchases and possible new projects: they just bought the 1.2 acre site at 512 Gallatin Ave. that was a formerSunTrust Bank branch for #3 million.  No word on their plans .

^ ^ ^ A bit more info:

- This was formerly the site of the proposed Dry Creek Station development.

- Dwell Architecture is handling design; Kimley-Horn is in charge of land planning/engineering.

- Metro Planning Commission is scheduled to review Elan Rivergate's design plans at its May 13 meeting.

Thought you’d have more to add.  Just place marking.  The thing I found interesting was the article noted how fast the northeast section of the county is growing. Does one of our fellow formers know how fast it’s growing?  I’m so unfamiliar with that area of Metro.

Looks great, with the exception of those ugly power lines and ancient street lighting.

Underground power lines were not feasible and so yes, the power grid is above ground. MDHA actually had to pay a significant amount to upgrade the power supply for most of Lower East as part of this project. The new decorative street lighting looks good in the places where it has been installed. That may be the norm once the entire campus is built out but that will be a decade at least.

The decorative poles on the left look great, I was referring to the lights attached to the poles on the right. Unfortunate that they couldn’t bury the lines here.
