Thought you’d have more to add.  Just place marking.  The thing I found interesting was the article noted how fast the northeast section of the county is growing. Does one of our fellow formers know how fast it’s growing?  I’m so unfamiliar with that area of Metro.

Between 2010 and 2019 Council District 10, which includes Rivergate and Goodlettsville grew by 53 persons (5-year ACS estimates). However CDs 8 & 9  have both added over 3,000 residents.

The 39 acre trailer park at 500 Cheyenne Blvd. in Madison known as Old Hickory has sold for $14.5 million to an unknown LLC.  My guess is some sort of new residential community will be built here eventually.

Parkhaven (parkhavencommunities.com) is a new neighborhood under construction in Hermitage. It is a 55+ active adult community and will have 500 homesites. Located at the end of Hickory Hill Lane, it will be adjacent to a new trailhead for a connection to Stones River Greenway. Also nearby is the former Ravenwood Club property that is now owned by Metro Parks and will be developed into a major regional city park in the future.

This is a long standing SP just off Beau Allen Road, but it appears that the original SP was revised late last year and the developer is looking to move forwards. Located at 3043/3045 Hillside Road, the development include 29 townhouses and two new public ROW roads (neither of which are on the city's street collector plan).  Prestige Properties out of Hendersonville is the developer. Warren and Associates out of Lebanon, TN are handling the Planning and Site Engineering. Couldn't find any renderings or the architect.

Revised layout

This was the originally approved SP Site Plan - Looking at some of the Metro comments on the SP they wanted the drives for units 13-17 to be off a private drive instead of the public ROW.

Yes, Pennington Bend Road is narrow and there are numerous blind curves, so it’s quite hazardous. I can’t imagine riding a bike on that road, cause folks drive like bats outta hell on those stinking’ curves. Glad the new development includes the walk/bike path. Sure would be nice if the city could do a loop from there and around the bend over to Opryland Hotel.

Not a subscriber, but what particular area does this cover?  That's a  huge swath of land.  And can someone in-the-know (about the firm named) give an example of the sort of work they do and how that might be applied to the 338 acres.  I really want to see this as a game changer, but didn't Metro hire a firm to do the riverfront about 15 years ago?

Mayor Cooper formally announces that Perkins Eastman is indeed the international design firm  being hired to map out plans for overhaul of the 338 acres of the East Bank from River North all the way down to PSC Metals.

The company has led major redevelopment efforts in Hanoi, Vietnam, Baltimore's Inner Harbor, District Wharf in Washington, D.C., and Battery Park City in New York.

"As we embark on the rebound, Nashville is one of the most desirable cities to be in the U.S.," Mayor Cooper said. "We have an opportunity to elevate the Cumberland River to be one of Nashville’s most popular amenities for the benefit of our entire community. That calls for a careful, community-driven approach to affirmative placemaking, as we engage residents and property owners at every step."

Perkins Eastman will organize community meetings through the summer to develop building parameters of the mostly industrial land along the Cumberland River. Public improvements under consideration include parks, walking trails and bike lanes.

As far as I know, they did make some improvements to the riverfront after the 2010 flood(Cumberland Park/Ascend Amphitheater), but this effort will be all encompassing, including zoning, infrastructure/street layout, parks, greenways, etc.
