On a side note, ever since the warehouse across Greenwood from the new Publix was built demolished, the rat population in our part of the neighborhood east of there has gone way up.

Do you mean demolished? I can see that happening. The building was reportedly pretty gross. You might want to contact the Health Department about the rat population, especially if it is extending all the way to hour house three blocks in from Gallatin.

I also live in Eastwood about three long blocks from where they tore that down, and also noticed a huge jump in the rat population.  I’ve even seen them running around in the daytime, which is very unusual.

Edley's BBQ  will be opening a Donelson location at 2717 Lebanon Pike, just north of the Lebanon Music City Star train station.  The existing 4,700 sq. ft. structure will offer patio seating and a full service bar. It will be their largest location, and will also serve as the home of their catering operations. Tuck-Hinton will ge doing the design. It should be open by spring of 2022.

Ground was just broken for The Yarra, a 69 townhome development by ZMX Inc. and Forbes Plunkett LLC on 7.7 acres at 1022 S. Graycroft Ave. in Madison.  They purchased the land for $1.5 million last November. This will be just north of the massive repurposing of the Due West Towers former hospital site at the NW corner of Due West Ave. and South Graycroft.

The General Jackson showboat used to occasionally offer a lake cruise that takes the boat through the lock and up into Old Hickory Lake. (Maybe they still do so.) I always thought it would be interesting to go through that lock in a 300 foot long boat.
