Couple murdered in East Nashville early this morning.  Also read where the wife of a crew member of the band OneRepublic was shot and paralyzed in Nashville the other day.  Some really scary shootings going on these days in Nashville.

I don't think I've seen this mentioned here yet: BarkBox will open their new concept BarkPark--a membership-only dog park with amenities--at 800 Meridian Street in East Nashville on September 8th. It'll run through November with the goal of a permanent outpost.

Lol this is the most east Nashville thing I’ve ever heard, a private dog club.

Really?  Seems more like the kind of thing you'd find in Franklin or Brentwood.   We love our dogs in East, but this seems a bit bougie, even for us.  East Nashville would be a community collective, volunteer-manned dog park featuring reclaimed barn wood.

Def East Nashville sounding. Coffee and weekly yoga. Surprised they don't sell craft beer.

Corner Music is setting up shop in the strip mall at 3048 Dickerson Road, at the intersection with Ewing, near Prince's Hot Chicken and just south of Briley Parkway. I'm not sure if this area is considered East Nashville, Inglewood, or Madison. It seems that they're taking on a lot more space than the old location.

Hold up... there's going to be an Air BnB branded hotel in East Nashville?

I don't think it's branded AirBnB, but it's being specifically marketed as an AirBnB for Bachelorette party groups. I think the name is going to be "Bridal Suites" or similar.

That's what I thought too. I'm just concerned that as more apartments, etc....allow STR there's not going to be as big a demand and this ugly building is going to end up as some type of haven for who knows what. Time will tell.

Disappointing that the NIMBYs got this cut in half but it's definitely better than nothing. Looking forward to the evolution of riverside village.

In any kind of sane world there would be about 50 projects of this size in progress around EN neighborhoods. We have so many little neighborhood centers that would be awesome if people would allow a little density to be added. Besides riverside village there's the rosepepper area, vinyl tap intersection, eastland & mcferrin, 14th & woodland, the whole area around 5 points...
