You would think they would have shown this to be the case in the initial budget allocation rather than show it as a cost overrun. That seems like very poor planning on the part of Metro.

It is still a very poor way to operate a city government. You ask for an amount you need, get it funded and hold the contractors feet to the fire. That is pretty much the way the state does business on the roads.

Metro has done a very poor job at this for such a long time.

I am not criticizing you Brett, but the entire system. It just needs to change.

A 48 residence development on 3.5 acres at 218 Maplewood Terrace is being planned by Todd Realty LLC.  No word on the name of the project, nor are there renderings/diagrams yet.  There are a few small homes on the property currently.  A May 14th Metro Planning Commission appointment is planned to request rezoning.

DJ pointed this one out over on the East Nashville Urban Design Page. Wamble & Associates are Planning and Civil Engineer. They do have a connection road passing through from Maplewood Trace to Broadmoor Drive. 41 units of attached housing and 5 units of detached housing that will face out to Maplewood. This plan shows alot of asphalt along the property line. I hope the SP does not allow this to go up without a landscape buffer on this property. EDIT: Looking closer at the plans they are calling for a 6'-0" tall, wood screen fence along the property lines at the east and west parts of the site.

The wooded area directly across the street on the Broadmoor side has had a for sale sign up for a few weeks.  And as far as I know the development behind Studio 615 is still a go.  Once these are complete I would hope they extend the Broadmoor sidewalk all the way from the Dickerson side to the Gallatin side.
