Core Development's High View Cottages and Flats (five 3 &4 story buildings with 88 condos, and  seventy-five 2 & 3 story cottages on 10 acres at 600 East Trinity Lane) is expected to get underway at the end of this summer.  Core bought the site in 2015 for $1.26 million.

Many of the residences will have roof-top decks offering views of the city. The development will feature a pool, dog park, and trail-oriented green space.

Eastwood Village (rehab of  Hobson United Methodist Church, circa 1851/1924, into offices/retail) update.  More fencing up, continued work on interiors.

I believe their last hurdle is getting the final SP approved by the planning commission. They were just issued a permit for interior demolition of the parsonage house. Maybe @bwithers1  can chime in.

How in the hell is Music City Prep allowed to operate on this site when it is in the 5 Point Redevelopment district of MDHA?  Area is clearly marked as Mixed Use on the map.  Health Clinic's aren't listed as a permitted use.

I think you answered in your pdf., as it is a redevelopment plan. This is not a redevelopment. This is a reuse.

That’s not how the overlay works. That’s how base zoning works. And it’s only reuse if it’s the same..........use.

Howdy Motel (rehab of 1950s-era Metro Motel, 18 units) update.   Exterior paint job nearing completion.

Oh goodness, "Howdy Motel?" I think that may be leaning a little too much in to the country/honky tonk motif.  Sounds like something you'd see in Gulf Shores in the 70's.
