Normally I don't post about fast food restaurant announcements...but since many people have a cult-like love for Whataburger...the return of the chain to Nashville after 35 years away will be at 5055 Old Hickory Blvd. in Hermitage. No word on when it will open. Four other locations to be announced soon as well.

Over the past few days Richland South has accumulated land off Whites Creek Pike in between Dickerson Rd. and I- 24 inner belt in several different deals. It now has about an acre total on the site that features a couple of nondescript/non-historical structures  No word on plans yet, but it is certainly a plot with growing value and desirability.

Vintage South is proposing a development on the 5.9 acres at 905 Cherokee Ave. that includes repurposing a a large industrial building currently on the site that will include 6,000 sq. ft. of restaurant space, 17,700 sq. ft. of office/retail, and 166 apartments.  This is immediately to the west of the new Lyric at Cleveland Park residential development.  No renderings yet.

One of the most unimpressive developments on the East side.  So sad they did not include any street activation at this busy, predominately commercial intersection.

Lofts of Hermitage will be  an 8.5 acre residential development on vacant land near I-40 at Old Hickory Blvd. featuring  two 4 story structures and 199 units. The address is 4402 Shugard Way, and it is being put together by Ramston Capital, who paid $1.48 million for the plot.  Baker Barrios is the architect, and Gresham Smith is in charge of engineering.
