Didn't see this on Smeagolsfree's excellent map. Don't know what those with ears to ground know but this could be very large.

Vintage South and Atlanta-based Shelton McNally Partners

6 acres at 905 Cherokee in a wedge shaped lot between Delmas and Ellington Pkwy and RR tracks through Inglewood

Access from Delmas (on East) and Chickasaw (on West). Don't know that area, but appears to give good visibiilty from Ellington.

Mixed use (Multiuse Area with Apartments and Townhomes) with some adapative reuse of existing Nashville Plywood Warehouses.

No rendering with article.

Yes it is there. The Post got  the release as we knew they were going to buy is and there is no sales price and therefore no real news.

Here is the location on the map.

Blue teal area at the lower part of the map. This has been on there for about two years at Aerial Development was going to do the project solo and now they are going to be part of the development team.

Vintage South and Shelton McNally Real Estate Partners have paid $6.4 million for the nearly 6 acre site at 905 Cherokee Ave. that was discussed on several posts on this thread last Friday, Jan. 1st. a A release notes the future project they will co-develop will consist of newly constructed apartments and townhomes along with the adaptive reuse of some of the site’s existing industrial structures.

“The development team is excited to deliver these new neighborhood-oriented amenity offerings to East Nashville and will provide further project details at a later date,” Nathan Lyons, Vintage South founder, said.

14 bidders compete to shape East Bank development vision as Metro reveals project timeline.

Metro wants to hire a consultant or team by February and finish the first phase of the planning work in June, according to bid documents. That initial phase would include:

- writing a vision statement describing a mixed-use neighborhood

- developing a public engagement strategy to include at least three "large" public meetings, six "less formal" presentations to a technical advisory committee and a community advisory committee, and two design charrettes.

- creating "general planning recommendations" related to design standards, building heights, park space and multi-modal transit.

"Engagement to a wider audience within Nashville, including East Nashville and downtown, is expected," Metro said in bid documents.

A second phase would entail identifying potential major infrastructure upgrades, producing a traffic impact analysis and highlighting economic development opportunities. The second phase could become as detailed as designing a proposed street grid.
