Anyone notice that all retail tenants are being told to vacate the Global Mall (old Hickory Hollow Mall) by May 31?  Guess the owners have something up their sleeves.  Will be interesting to see what the new version of this building will be.  (college, hockey rink, etc will stay)

There is...rope?...blocking the entrances to the old Captain D's and the law firm next door. It will be interesting to see what develops. Someone mentioned Starbucks on Nextdoor, but that's not exactly the place to go for facts or insider information.

So, people throw around Starbucks rumors every time there is a retail vacancy on 8th. Doesn't mean it's not true, but...

Given that the Captain D's building is staying, I suppose it could be a Starbucks, or any other drive through. It seems to be an insane amount of parking.

Such a large parcel of land. Maybe THIS will be the development that makes the city do something about 2nd Ave S where it goes under the railroad bridge in the back right corner of this development.

Just want them straighten out the road there, going around that corner into town is awful and none of the roads line up into a proper intersection.

Bate Avenue Residences will replace Southside Community Church (at one time Cane Memorial Church of God) at 2080 12th Ave. South. There will be ten 2-story multi-family homes built in two rows within the development.  No AirBnB units will be allowed.
