The .92 acre church parking lot at 916 Acklen Ave. in the 12 South neighborhood has been bought by Jason Bockman for $1.5 million. Mount Gilead Missionary Church (across the street) bought the property for $50,000 in 1993.

The sale has become final on the lots at 1234-1236 Martin St. in WeHo that were slated for the 5 story Kirby residential project. Core Development, which had bought the 1.5 acre site in 2017 for $1.3 million has now sold it to Houston-based Hines for $6.3 million.  Rumors are that Hines still has plans for a 5 story building, but may be more office oriented w/ ground floor retail.

This screen shot from Smeagolfree's excellent development map shows the site highlighted in red at the center of the frame:

Sheesh.    I”m not sure if it was Core’s original strategy to buy an d hold, but this turned out to be brilliant investing.

This is with as little as snark as possible but why do Banks keep building branches, how many people still are using them? The very few times I go into a branch, like maybe twice this year. There was me and maybe another person. Seems like such a waste of money.

Go hang out at a branch on a Friday from 3-5pm.  The Inglewood BofA is a gong show every week.

Where did you find this? It is not showing up on the Parcel viewer or the epermit search.

It's under the address of 1111 Gilmore. See if this link works.

Something is brewing (most likely a residential project) for this lot that fronts both 12th Ave. South and Southside Court.

Looking east from 12th Ave. South,  1/2 block north of Archer St:

I am pretty sure I saw permits for this area and it is more of the same that is already there. More of the modernist homes that have been built there.
