^^Anything to improve the Hickory Hollow area is awesome!

Not really. The large influx of all these high density apartments and housing projects have resulted in schools now having almost as many students in portable classrooms (trailers) as in the actual school. Antioch is the dumping ground for Nashville and infrastructure has been overrun. People whine about traffic, but the schools (or shortage of) is definitely by far the number one issue in Lower Antioch

Something like 80%(?) of all high density housing projects underway for Nashville is in Antioch. There are not enough homeowners to balance all these apartments, and that is having a major negative effect on the area

Hamilton Ave. Townhomes (several 3 story buildings, 37 units) is now going with the moniker Fusion Wedgewood Houston.  Land fully cleared now.

The former Royal Cleaners building at 2500 12th Ave. South (in the heart of the 12 South District) is going to be converted into a restaurant. A permit notes thatVance Construction will handle the build-out of the still unknown eatery, owner, opening date, etc.

Urban Grub is losing a big percentage of its parking with this, on one side, and the funeral home, on the other side, both being redeveloped.

The former Starwood Amphitheater 65 acre site is getting yet another proposed concept:

According to preliminary plans newly filed with Metro, that group aims to open most of the property to what it calls an "industrial/office mix," which could include buildings such as warehouses and storage facilities. The plans also call for low-rise commercial buildings, two- or three-story townhomes and park space.

Kimley Horn Architects have filed the plan on behalf of Ron Buck/PBR&T Partnership, which purchased the site in 2017 for $2.1 million.

I dont know what his source is but you can sure tell when you look at the map and see all of the bull dozed land. Lots of projects I have seen on Development Tracker have been on Antioch. They just dont get the media attention in the press because they are so far out.

Huge subdivisions have been built not to mention a lot of apartments.

Heard from council member. Unfortunately, I don't have a source to verify, but the person who stated that number is absolutely trustworthy. I don't recall the exact number, but it is really high

The other surprising number I have heard recently, is that District 32 (Bell Rd area) is comprised of 74% rental vs 26% homeowners
