Hudson Automotive Group has announced that they will relocate the Beaman auto dealership from the Broadway/Midtown location to 9 acres at 309 Perimeter Drive (at SE corner of I-24/Harding Place interchange.

Hudson Automotive is seeking a rezoning of the site (which sits empty) to accommodate a 90,000-square-foot auto dealership building, some fueling stations and a carwash facility. A Thursday, Oct. 22, Metro Planning Commission meeting has been scheduled, the documents note.

I'm as interested in the outcome of the the collision center parcel, which is bounded by 12th Avenue South, Hawkins Ave, and I-40.  That could be an interesting development piece that extends from the Gulch just to the North and continues the development southward along that part of 12th  Avenue which is starting already with Novel Edgehill...

Let’s give both sites a major height exemption in exchange for a huge Beaman donation into a fund to cap the freeway from Broadway to 12th. Heck, they could even call it the Beaman Greenway and he could be forever memorialized for the rest of history!

Fingers crossed that this happens. Not only is this a big plus for that massive space on Broadway, it gives that unappealing Harding/I-24 intersection a big boost.

Sherwood Commons will be a 23 unit 2 story townhome development built by Habitat for Humanity at Ewing and Gwynnwood Drives in Antioch. Completion date should be early 2021.

I don't know if this was reported on here, but Trevecca Nazarene College is building a residence hall on a prominent hill on campus according to the ESa website.

Located on the edge of campus, this seven-story residence hall creates a new southern gateway for Trevecca Nazarene University. More than just a residence hall for students, this building will become a campus beacon in the City of Nashville, Tennessee. ......

Exterior masonry is used to honor the traditional buildings on the northern campus, while exposed steel frames and fiber cement cladding complement the more modern, industrial side of campus to the south. With 302 beds, the building features apartment style units with full kitchens and student lounges, along with a fitness room, multipurpose room, central laundry, grand outdoor courtyard and a two-story apartment for the residential director. The tallest building on campus, the new residence hall could not overpower the existing campus. By creating a split floor design, in which one side of the project is 7.5 stories and the other is 5 stories, the stepped-down building massing provides the residential space needed while honoring existing campus heights.

Looks nice for a small college.

Eakin Partners no longer has a deal in place to purchase up to 30 acres of Century Farms to develop up to 600,000 sq. ft. of office space.  They could not find a primary tenant, so they let their contract lapse.
