Bento Box (4 & 6 stories, 89 units) is now officially open.  It's full name is BentoLiving Chestnut Hill. 

The flex-stay concept offers guests one- and two-bedroom options, micro living spaces (350 square feet) and co-living spaces. The co-living options give guests 280 square feet of space, with each unit having a private bedroom and bathroom, but shared communal spaces. 

Other amenities include a washer and dryer in every unit, CityLift Valet Parking with 98 spots and kitchen essentials including dishware and knives. An athletic club is planned for this summer.

The development is fully managed, has a front desk staff, and housekeeping.

BentoLiving Chestnut Hill has multiple food and beverage options: 

1) B1281, a tiki-style, backyard bar and restaurant, offers cocktails, poke bowls and yakitori from its food truck.

2) The Hart, which is expected to open this summer, will be a full-service restaurant and bar serving breakfast and dinner built around Pacific Rim-inspired fare. 

3 )Bento Bodega is the on-premise marketplace with grocery options and other items.

The .42 acre site that includes a 1 story warehouse home to T&S Flooring at 525 Hagan St. in WeHo has sold for $2.75 million to Hines Development out of Houston, their third purchase of land in that neighborhood in last the last few months. The site is directly south of the new Carter Group building. The existing warehouse will most likely be razed, and some sort of mixed-use development will be announced.

This development will do a lot to connect The Gulch with the various Edgehill buildings.  Many visitors stay in STRs in the Edgehill area and walk into The Gulch.  Having long-term renters in this building will make the area just over the I-40 bridge seem like it's vibrant.

The whole 12S corridor is going to be something special with all of the new development that’s popped up.

A temporary ban on apartment development in Antioch is being considered by Metro Council in Districts 28, 29, and 32. 

The bill highlights the tensions surrounding public officials' ability to balance growth with investing in infrastructure and services.

Ya know, the Council could just vote to raise freaking property taxes and actually use all the growth to pay for itself instead of trying to stifle all of the growth.

When the growth slows/stops, all the people are still going to be living there and are going to still need roads and other infrastructure. Stopping it doesn't stop the need for improvements.

Being that close to Rutherford County, those apartments will just go across the county line. Long story shortened... same volume of traffic along I-24 and feeders, but farther out. Granted, the children won't be in-county to attend Metro schools.

I also noticed Edley's in 12S has removed their deck and the underlying concrete.   Appears they are either replacing the deck or building an addition.

Replacing the deck and adding a full covered roof. ( vs. the trellis that was there)

New York-based Somera Road paid $854,000 to expand its Wedgewood-Houston development, named WeHo Crossing. The project entails 60,000 square feet of office space and 12,500 square feet of retail/restaurant space.
