My guess would be that the Douglas Corner area got funding for street improvements (lighting, etc.) at some point, similar to 12th South.

V3 Realty, the developers of The Ridley (7 stories, 103 units) being planned near the Wedgewood exit of I-65 South  have purchased the rest of the land they need at 743-745 Argyle Ave. for a collective $1.3 million. This goes along with the 1805-1807 Ridley Blvd. purchase for $1 million.

It will be part of the May Hosiery redevelopment by AJ Capital Partners.  A great deal of work on the 80,000 sq. ft. former sock factory is underway.  No ETA on when the hotel will be opening.  I believe the boutique will be about 50 rooms.

Early concept renderings for the former Hickory Hollow Mall:

- developers want the 50 yr old PUD to be removed and revert to previous zoning (no zoning changes would be required). Developers claim nobody will ever develop this space without removing the antiquated PUD. It would be bad to have 2 developers walk away in 2 years

- underground parking

- before everyone goes off on the "sea of parking" tangent, the developers only control a small portion of the total parking. Thus, the need for the underground parking. The big boxes (Nashville State, former Bridgestone office, etc) control the parking lot areas next to those spaces

- Nashville State Culinary School, currently does not have a public space to share their talents. A space for that purpose will be included

- perimeter greenway lined with trees

The 8th & Bass project, which is now being developed by Meg Epstein's CA South (along with Belpointe Asset Mgt.), looks like it will be scaled down from the original double 7 story structures.  Now it will be 256 apartments with 14,000 sq. ft. of ground level restaurant space  (no word on height--but I'm guessing 3-4 stories) spread over the 3.14 acres.

The .45 acre lot at 2002 12th Ave. South that includes the BluePearl Pet Hospital has sold for $2.4 million to Aubrey, Michelle, and Taylor Preston.  Blue Pearl paid $14,500 for the lot 39 years ago.  No word on the Preston's  plans for the property.
