Vintage Edge will be a 5 story project featuring 191 apartments, 17 office suites, and a Red Bicycle Coffee Shop at 5833 Nolensville Pike being jointly developed by TDK Companies and Imagine1 Company.  They just landed a $35.7 million loan after recently paying $3.4 million for the site. Centric Architecture is in charge of design.

An apartment complex of unknown height that will feature 145 units and 4,000 sq. ft. of ground level retail is being planned for 970 Murfreesboro Pike.  The developer is currently unknown, but Civil Engineering Group is handling land planning.  No rendering yet.

I know why this is the way it is, but it still makes me sad that they booted a bunch of local businesses off a prime intersection.

I agree it's sad to lose the businesses, but I'll give credit that this is the best designed Mapco I've ever seen. That's not saying a lot, but it could have been worse.

Mapco has recently upped their game of the design of their new stores. I know most of these structures are one of a handful of prototypes that these companies use (they most likely have an urban, suburban and rural prototype that then gets tweaked for site specific traits). 

It's more modern design reminded my girlfriend and I of the rest stops seen in Ireland (we did a road trip vacation there several years back).

Vintage Century Farms (4 stories, 212 residential units, 298 office suites) at 4000 Cane Ridge Parkway is now 75% leased.  Humphrey & Partners is the architect; Catalyst Design Group handled civil engineering.  I believe the development is nearly ready to be opened.

Does anyone have news on what is planned for the old Furniture Warehouse on Thompson Lane across from Walker Lumber? They are having a goin out of business sale right now and I see the land was sold for $10M this year and the zoning changed from Warehouse Industrial to General Mixed Use. I'm looking forward to some much needed development in that area, but I haven't seen any plans for the site.

That’s a good one too! I hope they work with the city/state when they develop that land and hopefully rework the Thompson and Sidco/Eugenia intersection. That’s a real mess.

All I know is Furniture Warehouse lost their lease.

Tanger Outlets is planning to break ground on its Tanger Outlet Center in Century Farms the first quarter of 2022.  It will include 6 buildings with 303,500 sq. ft. of retail space.

"When we get to 60% leased, we'll put a shovel in the ground,” Stephen J. Yalof, Tanger’s chief executive officer, said on a recent earnings call. “We anticipate we'll probably get there at the beginning of next year, but we think it's a great market and there's definitely some interest from our retailer partners."

Last March, Tanger said it had already signed leases with a number of mall tenants. But 14 retailers on its tenant roster had declared bankruptcy or announced a financial restructuring during 2020.

Each time I see new announcements for Century Farms, I always think Ikea really screwed up, local incentives notwithstanding. After the roads from CF to Nolensville and beyond to Brentwood are widened, that whole area will be the center of the southern part of the metro area.
