What is planned for the southeast corner of Orange and Anderson downtown?

This plot is sitting empty and I was wondering if there was any plans for it.

Some time ago, there was talk of a high rise office complex on that site that would form what was being referred to as the "southern gateway". But like so many other proposed projects, nothing ever became of it. Maybe once the PAC opens, it will attract new interest.

Well it's been almost a year now since this topic was discussed.  With all the development news kick starting back around town, I'm surprised no new news has come about this vacant piece of land or that construction has not begun to tie in with the opening of the Performing Arts Center.  Whatever kind of development is built it should surely compliment the Performing Arts Center.  That corner is great walkability before or after shows to grab a meal if a restaurant space decides to go there.  At night, would also serve as an alternative dining area for guests staying at Aloft or The Bohemian, and during the day for all those people working on that side of town.  The view looking north on Orange Ave. is a great perspective to enjoy the skyline from that angle.

It is CNL office..I doubt they are ready to build anything yet...
