19th Street Market Square

Clark Nexsen is currently working on a major mixed use development near the Va Beach Convention Center. Its called 19th Street Market Square..

Looks cool, a nice little outdoor mall with potentially useable upper floor space.  I always wanted to see 17th St turn into an urban corridor, but it would also be nice to see 19th St do that too.

Yeah its def a Unique project. Kinda looks like its on private Township.

Despite the fact we already know so from the past week's articles, this is making me think the arena deal is far from dead. There might not be a team looking to move anymore, but there's a lot of development being planned for that stretch, including the entertainment complex for the dome site...the next few years will be very interesting (and fun).

Yeah the Arena deal isnt dead. Sessoms wants to consider building the arena anyway without a sports team.. He says it will lure major sports events and concerts.. he says we dont have to have a NBA sports team. We will build it anyway.. It just wants to make sure the public wants it.
