go_vertical 1234 Report post Posted March 3, 2013 I was also born in '78 and what I find the most interesting about your list is that when I began driving in late '93/early '94 I remember gas being only about 25 to 30 cents more per gallon. In fact I vividly remember the price briefly dipping and I love telling the story of when I paid 70 cents for a gallon of the juice. It's disheartening to think that if the rate of price increase had remained consistant this whole time we would be paying approximately $1.50. I guess a positive way of looking at it though is that if the price remained low then there wouldn't have been such a resurgence of urban style living and there certainly wouldn't have been nearly as many public transit projects started throughout the country.
