Why would the crane come down if the base of the pyramid isn't complete? There's metal screening going up on one side, as of a few days ago, but not all sides so it's not finished.

That stuff can be brought up in a construction elevator and its possible all the materials they need are already up there.

"BANK OF AMERICA" will be almost illegible at that size. They should consider moving forward with the flag logo only, and leaving off the "BANK OF AMERICA" text. I do think including the text would help break up the top and help mask the terrible design, but I'm concerned it would look really dumb at that small size. Thankful for the height and stretching the skyline south, but this project has been nothing but aesthetically disappointing.

I actually like it at that font size...think it looks classy (as for as signage goes) vs the enlarged UPTOWN 550 that looks cheesy.  Now, if it's legible from the stadium, 277, etc, that's a different story lol.  I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I mean bank of america doesn't really need to be visible. Its like 20 feet tall on top of the scoreboards.

Yeah I just think it will look goofy since it's so small, but I do think it looks "clean" in the rendering. I'd prefer logo-less buildings personally. The stadium entrance at the bottom of the photo is what I think the logo will look like on the building from a distance.

BofA's new branding is less legible than the one it replaced, be interesting to see if they replace the signage on the stadium in 2019/2020 as well, or wait till there are renovation/replacement plans afoot. Also, if Hugh McColl was still in charge, they would have never taken space in LU, nor ever put their signage on the exterior of the building.

Nothing says "luxury" like big yellow plastic letters.

I completely agree. All signage on the tops of Charlotte buildings is too small. Has anyone ever noticed how tiny the AC Hotel logo is? It's like AC Hotel.

The only legible logo on top of a Charlotte high-rise is Regions.

Can we honestly expect any of the remainder to exceed BOAT in height?

The remainder of the phases? Almost certainly not, but hey maybe suntrust has something cooking up.
