funny thing Hong Kong does that every night and sometimes more during holidays.  It is quite the light show to see it and they do have music to go along with it.  If we did this here we could have a tourist attraction that people would come into town to see.  

Here are some photos they have lasers on tops of certain buildings and have lights changing colors and so forth.  This could be easily done in Charlotte.   Photos from Nov. 2017 on a foggy low cloud night.   Tall building is 88 story 2 IFC tower and the Bank of China building to left with lattice pattern lights.

I always thought that tower looked like a stretched version of the Corporate Center.

It is. Cesar Pelli designed IFC and BofA.

Love it or not Legacy will be on the list for almost every company looking for an urban tower in uptown.  Legacy 2 Deloitte tower will have a great presence when you are looking down Tryon St south.  Today.

I will say, that while I'm completely bummed out by the design of LU1, it's nice to have a developer like Lincoln Harris who can actually execute these types of projects. Can't believe all the progress on this site since the initial announcement.

Probably soil testing and yes this maybe the next one your photo shows how big that parcel is behind the garage. If they do get an anchored office tower there it will be a major coup as I always thought that was the not the best site but times they are a changing.

We still don’t know for sure, but like KJ said, it didn’t seem like a great parcel at first for office but there’s a lot of demand suddenly so it’s very possible. I’d add that it would be an incredible spot for visibility from 277 and the stadium. That alone could more than offset the downside of being a bit off the beaten path compared to the other buildings.

Behind the deck there and fronting Mint St any office building could have huge floorplates which many companies want.  As long  as it blocks the garage from that side I am fine (of course the taller the better)  and yes the visibility from the highway there and the stadium would be great.  Can you imagine a company lets just say Honeywell with their name emblazoned across the top of it.  277 there is the major entrance to uptown from the south by car and from the airport.

Yep. That’s the thing for this spot. The building doesn’t even have to be that large or tall to get major exposure because it is literally first in line among the the towers heading into uptown. We all remember the JFG sign and how prominent that was. This will be the office building version of that. Impossible to avoid whatever name will be on this building.

Not even mentioning the potential to capture cameras from the NFL stadium 20 yards away.

Does the base of the BOAT pyramid have a blue lighting scheme in this pic? It seems too blue and specifically highlighted on the base to be any kind of reflection. Looks like they are starting to test lighting scheme to me.

BOAT at Legacy still the tallest building in Tennessee, South Carolina and Virginia but only #4 in NC and soon to be #5.   and probably the largest parking garage in the aforementioned states as well.

Legacy 2 the Deloitte tower is so close of course to the street this will look very tall.  remember it flares out over the sidewalk the higher it gets.  Today.

Legacy 2 really is right up on the road. Once those first few floors go up it’ll feel very large to anyone walking down Tryon. And a few shots from the Stadium side. Glass in the corner of the garage really helps it.
