And it will continue to work in the direction it's been going. Regardless of the apartment market Uptowns businesses and CBD will continue to grow. In addition, even though the apartment market is expected to slow a little soon it doesn't mean any less people are moving to Charlotte. Charlotte will continue to grow at the sustained pace if not even more then it is now. Sorry for the off topic post but it was just brought to my attention!

Outside of the new Krispy Kreme office/test kitchen/retail outlet this is my favorite construction project in town.  According to my count looks like on 22nd floor using the markings on the contractors elevator.  All angles today.  It is getting so tall no longer can get it in some photos have to be further away and that is a good problem to have.

trying so hard to continue consuming myself with hatred of this project, unfortunately I am a tall building lover, and its starting to get to me, and I have to not let it. If they have some variety in the shapes, sizes, and materials of the rest of the buildout I can excuse the PoMo shrine, but if they build a campus of lookalikes, I'll be every so pissed.

At just 3 feet shorter than Hearst it’ll make a huge impact, only thing I like about it.

Polaris topo shows Hearst land surface ~ 10 feet higher than BOAT, (FWIW)

Alright, it’s really starting to make an impact. This and F.N.B. tower will really help lengthen the skyline when viewing from the west and northwest.

Circa 1991, One Wells Fargo (called One First Union at the time) was the tallest building in Charlotte.  In this shot I'm not sure I even see it anymore!

^^ I like these nighttime  construction shots I don't get uptown at night very often and sometimes it is easier to count floors at night with the lights.  Thanks!

More nighttime shots. There was work going on on the 15/16th(?) floor at 12:30am, looked pretty cool seeing sparks fall from the building at night.
