Work continues on site after the accident but absolutely nothing is going on up top. This thing for all intents and purposes stopped growing a week ago.

I was thinking the topping out would happen in mid-August, but now think it'll be at least September, or possibly later than that.

BREAKING NEWS: They just zoomed out /tilted up the webcam slightly.  A sign we're about to go vertical again let's hope. (I need a life)

Any word on phase 2 of this thing? Weren't there rumblings a few months back that LH was putting out feelers on a second tower (16 floors?) at the northeast corner. 

I doubt anything under 22 floors goes anywhere on this site.

Legacy Union construction cam frozen since yesterday

^^^ Don't worry KJ the ground cam man was on site today.   Noticed lots of workers on site but fewer towards the top.  The huge parking garage in the 2nd block is really rising now at Church St level.   Last shot is a twofer with Tryon Place worksite in the foreground.

It's annoying how people feel the need to protest everything these days. It was a horrible accident that didn't necessarily occur from negligence of any kind. How on Earth are you going to protest the safety when you don't have any idea about it other than the fact a man sadly lost his life on the work site?

jeez, a man died.  god forbid somebody speaks out over somebody dying on the job.    just what is worth your time i wonder?

I know I came off as calloused and cruel to some people but it's not the workers at the site protesting. It's other people. Having a gathering honoring him and recognizing the dangers would be a wonderful gesture and it makes sense to want this fully investigated. And it is/was being investigated already. 

It sickens me watching people take advantage of horrible events and tragedies like this for their political gains or views on social media. 

It is most definitely worth the time. Hell, I think they should literally put a memorial for him in the building.

Not for nothing, but the workers on site likely wouldn't protest even if they wanted to because they'd lose their jobs.

And their employer would be stupid to terminate them for such protest because the employer would invite multiple lawsuits for wrongful termination in violation of North Carolina public policy among other legally actionable retaliatory discharge theories.  Those lawsuits would have major teeth and invite tremendous bad press.  Speaking from experience here, not speculation.

If I'm not mistaken, we are just days away from the setback portion of the tower. I think either this week or next.

Now that they're at the setback, the pace of construction should pick up a little more, and move even quicker when they get to the pyramid. The podium is already topped out.

How many floors in the bottom portion, and the setback?

Here is the rendering I saved of it maybe someone can do the count.   Looks like around 27th floor is the first floor to be smaller in floor size.
