I don't really hate the building.  It's no BOACC, or Hearst tower, but it's ok.  The biggest issue I have (with the building itself) is building lighting in general, I'd have rather them spent the money on creating a great street level experience.  I do have an issue with the amount of parking for the whole development.  I mean I get why they have to have it, but uggh...  Parking decks hurt street presence, and encourage car commuting (and I say this as a long range commuter).  Again I completely get why they have to have it, I just wish they could have done something to reducing parking demand (or mitigate it somewhat).

If they are leasing I doubt that.  I think floor plate size and lease rates are more important.  I mean they might have objected if it were a smaller DEC, or a copy of the jukebox, but otherwise...

Just read it is 23 stories.   and again Honeywell the major tenant thinks this design is good for them it is good for me.  How would you feel if they built a building in Ballantyne or even in Fort Mill?   This blocks the huge garage from sight except for side view and  that is a big something.

Not bad, kind of wish it utilized the curvature of Mint St, but that's okay.  It looks a little Fahrenheit-ish at the top.  Hopefully there is some solid retail within this tower as well.

Maybe I will be in the minority but I love this Honeywell rendering.  It adds variety and texture to the skyline and covers that darn parking garage.    The biggest components I like are the brick and the slanted roofline toward the top.   The only piece I am slightly disappointed in is I was hoping the building would follow the curvature of Mint.    It is absolutely incredible how much density has been added along 277.

SouthPark is filled with buildings that imitate a structure of stone or brick but in fact are not. The vast fenestration gives lie and the structure to glass proportions appear totally wrong. This appears to be another.

At least they masked the parking deck; so it’s not as painfully obvious just how ridiculous that deck is.

While it would have been nice for this building to follow the curve of Mint St., I concede that if the stadium were ever demolished and redeveloped, Mint might get straightened back out.

It looks better than I thought it would, and blocks the garage mahal, but what an absolute crapshow Legacy has been thus far. Three office buildings - #1 beige neoclassical, #2 modern sleek glass, and #3 brick. #4 will likely be another large bank tower and large parking deck.
