  As much as I know everyone hates the LU deck (and you can count me in that group), the worst part about it is viewing it from this angle.  If only, the deck could have been underground, with the option of building on top,  this view could have been spectacular. I could say the same for Ally’s deck.

Unless we are fortunate to ever get a cap , this view will have huge gaps, in an otherwise beautiful skyline shot from the South. The only saving grace is ones eyes might be drawn to FNB in the back, and Honeywell to the side. Still, one heck of a missed opportunity to make this cluster of development stand out. I get it, that underground decks cost tons more, but I just keep thinking that could have been offset with a tower built above. Oh well.

 

ps—-not knocking your drone footage gman, you have some really good shots scattered in this and other threads. I can’t blame you for this hideous block of concrete

That is not true. At all. I keep saying over and over. It’s a building for a 200B company. It’s going to be screened. Novel NoDa and Novel Stonewall have ART on them. Why would you think it wouldn’t be screened.

And original stonewall station elevations had massive panthers murals. Big changes.

We all are entitled to our own speculations and thoughts. No particular person in this forum has a better opinion or believable post than the next guy. Sometimes your comments can be very condescending. Chill bro, this is a forum for fun. Thank you for your contributions, but tone it down a notch, no need to be so defensive.

I'm just setting the record straight here. Its not an opinion, it is an informed fact, that I keep having to correct in this thread. Trying to make sure KJ stops assuming its not being screened. Because this isn't the first time I've had to say otherwise. 

The renderings were created to sell a building, not a parking deck. Ally & JW Marriott are being given input into how it gets screened. 

If I'm wrong, I'll eat a shoe, but my info comes from the development company, and is backed up by documents filed with the city.

Employees were going in today.   I walked by this morning and they had a weird welcoming party with live performers pretending to be statues and some other strange stuff going on.
