Wow, this is definitely not the Virginia Beach I grew up with. This really ups the bar for quality resorts along the oceanfront.

Been trying to get in Orion's roof since last summer, but every time I go there completely booked. At least I got in and got some pictures this time.

My wife and I stayed here this weekend and VDogg nailed it when they said “it doesn’t even feel like you’re in VB”. We did the Tarnished Truth tasting, got to use the Cavalier Beach club, ate at Becca, Tulu’s and Orion’s Roof. It was a spectacular little mini-vacation. The views from Orion’s Roof are almost as good as the sushi. They really outdid themselves with this hotel. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

Can someone please explain the numbering scheme of this elevator please? Like, why?

Also, if you go to Orion’s Roof bring a jacket if it’s below 80 and you plan to sit outside. It may be 70 something at the ground but it feels like 50 something up top with that wind whipping around off the water.
