the ugliest high-rise in downtown Greensboro

Without a doubt the ugliest high-rise in downtown Greensboro is the Gateway Plaza building at Spring Garden and Greene Street. The building use to be completely white and then they painted most of it brown in an odd reverse step pattern which made it look worse. The exterior should be recladded with brick in my opinion which would be more fitting with the Old Greensborough district. Such a project was done at UNC Charlotte with their campus library tower.
