Nashville will be first city in the world with a "mapping video" app designed by local photographer, Nate Vogel, of TripBlazr. It is an interactive video mapping platform that organizes existing YouTube videos, as well as creating its own, for Nashville restaurants, bars, retailers, hospitality entities, tourist attractions, etc. People can click on a location of a map on their smart phone and then a video will appear showing what it is about. The service is free.  I think this will become quite popular with our tourist scene in particular.

A full interveiw with Nate is behind the paywall at Nashville Post here:

The number of Nashville-area June home sale closings increased 3.8 percent compared to the figure from the same month in 2017.  The median residential price for a single-family home during June was $314,900 (+ 7%);  for a condominium, $221,850 (+ 11%) . This compares with median residential and condominium prices of $293,753  and $199,350, respectively, at this time last year.

Nashville is the #3 market in the U.S. for home appreciation values in 2017 at 12.5% growth, according to Activerain.com and Benchmark Realty.

In the fourth quarter of last year, homes sold for an average of 51 percent more than what the sellers originally paid, which is even more than the highest profits during the last housing boom.

Interestingly, a real photo/editorial goof in the article as they showed Melbourne, Australia's skyline instead of Nashville's (Melbourne has a structure that looks similar to the AT&T Tower which must've thrown them off).
