a friend of mine in Seattle over heard a girl in a coffee shop today discussing her bachelorette   party plans, in Nashville.  we even draw from out there.

Geesh... I don't get it.  Did some Travel Channel or other cable channel have some episode about a bachelorette party in Nashville.  People really do tend to get so uninspired when it comes to things like that.  Reminds me of a brother-in-law who will cook everything he sees on Cooking channel.  LOL

It seems to be a thing. Every time I'm downtown on a weekend evening I see at least one gaggle of women with matching T-shirts/tiaras/tutus/etc.

Yeah...when I did a short few weeks driving for Uber last year and mostly picking up travelers from the airport, it was crazy how many times I picked up a groups of girls here for bachelorette parties.  However...I picked up a lot of guys coming here for bachelor parties, too.  So...it appears we truly are becoming known as a good party town.

Similar concentration of drinking establishments as New Orleans, but safer and less "sketchy," with music that's more accessible/well known to a group of young women.  Add in the geographic proximity of hotels/restaurants/bars all being within walking distance so that you don't need a car, and it makes sense.  

Additionally the city is cheaper than Vegas overall (though hotels on average are likely more) and much easier to get to for anyone in the Eastern half of the US.

Not to mention that country music's popularity continues to rise - number one radio station in most major markets - which only adds to the attraction.

Everything I have heard about the NHL All Star festivities from locals, out of towners, and higher ups in the NHL world has been amazingly positive.  The unique location of our arena in the main entertainment district has almost everything to do with that.  You need to remember, alot of these NHL arenas are off in parking lot wastelands and no where near anything remotely close to resembling Lower Broad.

It was one of the segments during their Hockey Night in Canada broadcast of the NHL All-Star Skills Competition coverage happening here in Music City.

The festivities and games have been amazing so far. Nothing but positive feedback from everyone I've talked to. I've met people from all over North America and they have all commented about how much fun te city is. The amount of media in town is astounding.

The coverage on tv is awesome, also. I think that Nashville is now a significant important NHL  franchise and not just one of those small, non-traditional sunbelt cities.

I watched a lot of the festivities on the NHL network...and it made Nashville look pretty dang good.  Plus...the arena looked fabulous.  They've obviously done some "spiffying up" to make it look so nice...especially with a lot of the new LED lights.  (Do we get to keep that LED huge hockey stick thingy?)
