More Accolades for Nashville

I am fifty and I find myself now listening more to C&W music than at any point in my life. I hope it's considered culture, but I have been called uncultured. Let me tell you what it's like being one of the few dozen (or so) Southerners at Duke University (yes, it is physically in The South) during grad school in the early 1990s.

I have just never been able to listen to it. I did watch the Ken Burns series which I thought was well done, but to listen to a Country for the sake of it.....never. I would have to slash my wrist. But that would be the same same with Rap and Hip Hop, not to mention Disco, heaven forbid. I could not stomach the Bee Gees when they made the switch and get sick at the site of John Travolta because of Saturday Night Fever.

I either like a style of music or I hate it. For me there is no in between.

That's so confusing to me because Parnassus really isn't all that special. But, living in Columbus now, I'm admittedly spoiled by the best of the best in unique independent book stores.

The ghost probably came in with the new furniture,:tw_scream:!  I have never ever seen a ghost, nor had any other strange thing happen to me while staying in any old house or hotel. Never seen anything visiting Gettysburg or camping near any of the battlefields when I was a kid. Someone is going to have to make a believer out of me. Not saying there are no such thing, but again these list crack me up.

I guess its good for the Union Station & Nashville, but I will bet the furniture scares them before the ghost do! LOL

Looks like just another way to market the hotel several weeks before Halloween.

A brilliant line from Sean McConnell’s song “What The Hell Is Wrong With Me,” is “every house is haunted when the ghost is in your head.”

With 30 venture capital firms having a presence in Nashville, it makes Music City the 3rd highest presence among the 10 southeastern U.S. states.

I never knew that about Columbus. Is that a well known fact about the city? Columbus just seems like an odd place to have the best of the best when it comes to book stores. I admittingly get most books online, so when I lived in Upper Arlington I wasn't exactly looking for book stores. I just don't remember hearing about this.
