This has a really nice visual impact on things. I hope it's exterior turns out well. Fingers are crossed that we still see the hotel component come to life.

Looks good coming down Academy but hardly noticeable coming in from Easley Brdge Rd.due to the curvature of the bridge. 5-10 more stories and this would have had a major impact.

It really hits you on Academy for sure. I like the layering it adds from that vantage point.

Brick is up a couple of floors now on the McBee side of things. The brick color is nice IMO. A great look at the building in context can be viewed from the intersection of Camperdown an River Street. I like the addition to the urban fabric this far.

I like the name! This should no doubt be another strong local restaurant with great atmosphere and cuisine based on his other ventures.

The hotel is still proposed for the site but no deal has been reached quite yet. The original developer dropped out.

Hopefully another interested party comes to the table. It's a really good location and it will be nice to have that intersection feel "complete".

I'm figuring they need to see how many spaces to account for. Being that they, that's Mr. Hughes that is, don't know if they can still pull off the hotel. I am pretty sure when they find that out. I will go up pretty fast.

I assume the hotel will use the city garage across River Street.

I would assume the new garage would have some or all of the parking needed for the hotel, and/or the hotel would have some covered parking of it's own.   Even if the Hotel does not go up now, it or something similar will eventually.

The hotel in question is The Hotel at Rivers Edge which is on the city center side of the river, between Rivers Edge Apts and Poinsett Corners. Embassy Suites will be at Riverplace.
