walker 541 Report post Posted September 12, 2013 Things are really hopping in the old Detroit office building market the last few days. The David Stott Building sold for about nine million today. This would be a nice one to save: http://www.freep.com/article/20130912/BUSINESS04/309120150/David-Stott-building-sold-at-auction
RustTown 60 Report post Posted July 10, 2017 (edited) After this sell by a negligent landlord, Bedrock Real Estate bought both this building and the Book Tower. Both are under renovation. The David Stott Building is scheduled for completion next year and the Book the year after that. Bedrock has been pretty mum on what exactly they are doing, though I'd be surprised if both weren't renovated as mixed-use. Quote 2018 will be a big year for development in Detroit, as many big name renovations (Metropolitan Building/Element Hotel, Shinola Hotel) are completed. One of the biggest reveals will be the David Stott Building, an Art Deco skyscraper that’s suffered from negligent owners in the past. Curbed’s video team recently stopped by to check out the renovation work, seen above. https://detroit.curbed.com/2017/6/27/15879234/david-stott-building-restoration Edited July 10, 2017 by Lmichigan
