Well I talked with a foreman down there, who's wife was playing down at Legends on Broadway, who went around the bar passing out a tip jar, who ran into a drunk guy who proceeded to spill his beer on his wasted buddy who says they are not adding any more floors.

Concrete is such an amazing thing... These pillars appear to be about the same diameter as those used to construct 5th & Main, yet this building has an additional two dozen floors over 5&M. The amount of weight placed on any one of them, especially near the bottom, must be simply enormous.

My hat is off to you engineers who figure out how to make this stuff work!

It's all in the rebar strength and PSI of the concrete!

And we'll soon have the answer to the question people seem to be obsessing and debating over.... "IS IS GONNA' BE TALLER THAN PINNACLE???!?!?!"

Unfortunately I think that it's still going to be a pretty hotly debated topic around here due to the very small height difference and the different perspectives that this will be viewed from. I think people forget that these towers are slightly set back from each other, so perspective plays a large role in changing how we look at the height (i.e. looking from the west makes Bridgestone look much taller, while looking from the river makes the Pinnacle look much taller). In the end, Bridgestone should end up being marginally taller with the fins.

Just don't understand how the Bridgestone is 460 and the Pinnacle is like what, 420? It should be noticeably taller by now

No offense at all intended, but I feel like this has been covered already.  Again, forty feet really isnt that much height, at least not when viewing things from a distance, and that height difference is concentrated pretty much entirely in the as-yet-to-be-constructed fins.

I'm still of the opinion that either the Bridgestone tower is going to be shorter than the initially stated height of 460ft. AGL, or that the Pinnacle building's published height of 417ft. AGL is incorrect. This is purely speculative but partly based on having seen various aerial shots from what I've judged to be flat perspectives. Both buildings sit at the exact same ASL elevation from the GIS maps I've found.

If they hadn't been so scared to break 500', which is a bizarre psychological barrier in our fair city, this all wouldn't be an issue.
