Thought it would be fun to start a thread of lesser known Greenville Historical photos to discuss. To start us off, Krispy Kreme posted this on their Instagram account a few weeks ago tagged with Greenville SC.

I'm curious if anyone recognizes or remembers where this would have been? Googling let me to Augusta Road as a possibility. Can anyone help?

Looking at Google street view, it is the building at #18 Augusta, across from Mellow Mushroom. That's a neat sign.

Yes, that's where it was. I remember going there as a child when I could barely see over the dashboard of my parents' car. This was in the days before car seats and seatbelts were common. I still remember the smell of the hot doughnuts that would waft through the car vents before the building came into view.

Wow, those pictures were great!  I hate that buildings like the old city hall, Woodside building, and Ottaray Hotel were torn down.  On the flip side, it is great to see some of the old buildings preserved to this day.
