This will run along Falls St, parallel to the planned AC Hotel on the site. The location you're talking about will be office and condos, if developed as originally planned.

I see. Isn't the office/condo building supposed to be ~12 stories also?

@ausrutherford-What is so bad about the hotel?

No they won't. The hotel has already been approved by the DRB: http://gsabusiness.com/news/55328-camperdown-buildings-approved-by-review-board

Im talking about the hotel planned for West End as mentioned in the DRB article.

Imagine a suburban hotel...only in the West End with multiple Main St. retail stores, but no individual doors to each. It was slab sided and 6 stories one side without the required setback.

Appears entire project will be 5+ years for completion. Any thoughts about time table?

I thought the last I heard was 2018.

The Apartment building  AND Garage were approved by DRB tonight.

Thanks....that would be awesome! All the new projects downtown have moved along in a diligent manner...thought this was so massive/intricate that it would require longer time to complete it. Looking forward to seeing the rendering of the office/condo building...hope it is taller than current plans. Would be awesome if a Corp. will anchor for its headquarters.

The reason the project has a several year build out is due to the Greenville News having to move into their new digs before construction can start on the rest of the project. For example, the hotel won't start construction until 2017.

boy you people are impatient.

Not impatient. Just trying to figure out what the hold up is. They have site grading permits and the fencing is up around the site perimeter so that's not the issue. They also told GSA Business that grading was going to start a few weeks ago which still hasn't happened yet.
