Big boom crane arriving on site. And no it’s not to take down the current tower crane.  HUGE rebar caissons being put together. Definitely the largest ones I have ever seen in person. Outer fence along Main and Broad being moved. Tons of workers on site. It’s happening. It’s happening. Well, at least the hotel is. Somebody get apaladin up. He’s fainted. Aerial pics coming shortly. :)

LOL, exciting to see another crane, hopefully, just wish it was for the office building!

The renderings on their website look much better than the things pulled together for the DRB. Though, for as expensive as the office space and residential units are probably commanding,  they could have actually purchased their stock images and avoided the watermarks.

The condos start at $1.2 million and that’s just for the shell. :shok:

That really looks nice. The second link doesn't open for me. :tw_angry:

Hmmm....that’s odd. Try this and click on digital brochure: https://fallstowercamperdown.com/thank-you/  If that still doesn’t work then try putting in your info in at the bottom of page, clicking on submit, and then clicking on digital brochure here: https://fallstowercamperdown.com/reserve/

The top of the office portion is roughly equal to the top of the apartment building. So the condo portion will be more prominent than I had thought. Even though it's on relatively low ground, it'll probably be visible from most if not all directions. Excellent.

Yeah, the apartment building is 150 feet while the office/condo building will be 250 feet tall. For reference, the Greenville News building is 75 feet tall.

What is purpose of the metal extension on side of office portion (7th floor)?

I was about to ask the same thing. Looks like some kind of awning or marquee ... but why that far up the side of the building? Form, in this case, apparently does not follow function. It's just a useless appendage.

Thanks! It's never going to be built.  :tw_cold_sweat:

A building permit for the office/condo building was issued on December 26th, 2018. 357,121 square feet and $55 million. Page 181: https://www.greenvillesc.gov/ArchiveCenter/ViewFile/Item/368 320 Falls Street.

That looks like a tower crane base getting dug at the office/condo building site. Ruh roh

:offtopic: For you construction experts out there. Does a tower crane base eventually become a part of the foundation of something else? Or will distant future archaeologists be scratching their heads over these buried monoliths that have no apparent connection to anything?
