Camperdown (Greenville News Building Site)

Recommended Posts

The barricades are being moved back out along Main Street blocking a lane and parking spots like they were originally to prepare for the AC hotel and office/condo building construction.

See the apartment structure in the background...is that floor #3 going up?

Nope still working on #2 but looks like #3 should start soon.

Has anyone walked down Falls Street next to this? It feels massive already and it still has many floors to go. I think it feels so big due to the length of the building.

Thanks for the pics. Any signs of the other buildings starting? Wasn't one supposed to start the end of August or was it September?

No workers were on site today.   Should I be worried?

Yes. Even more so because it’s a Sunday and a tropical system is blowing through.

Not quite. City hall is only 120 feet tall. Even with the elevation differences, this office/condo building will still be a good bit taller. Expect it to be right around the same height as the TD Bank building and tower crane currently on site. The Greenville News building is 75 feet tall and the apartment building will be 150 feet tall.

:yahoo: Update on Camperdown project timeline: https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.greenvilleonline.com/amp/830112002 AC hotel to start construction in August with office/condo building starting construction in early October. :shades: Completion of project is still late 2019. Three tower cranes on one site...not too shabby.

Went by today and work has started on the 3rd floor of the apartment building, 4th if you count the retail so it is moving along. Unfortunately and obviously the AC Hotel didn't start in August as stated above and very doubtful the office/condo building will start in October as there is no signs of either getting going. No way this project gets completed in 15 months(end of 2019). :tw_confused:

No Site grading or building permits have been issued for the hotel yet.

That's not a good development...know you'll play detective and find out what's happening.  They may be getting prepared in gathering materials to stage construction.
