Looks like the apartment building is topped out. Still no sign of another crane.

Yeah, the rainy weather has really slowed things down unfortunately. Hopefully by the end of the month or next.

Don't think it's another floor, looks more like a clubhouse or something. It's just a small part on the top floor.

Yeah, you’re right. Just rooftop access.

The completion date of first quarter 2020 is obviously not going to happen. Still think they plan on doing one building at a time and the vision of 3 cranes up at one time is not happening.

They are already doing two buildings now. The office/condo building and the apartment building.

We'll see much more construction progress by this time next year. They have their own timeline & weather must cooperate as well.

So is the hotel dead or something?

The hotel was just revised a couple of months back. Obviously it will be the last to start, not to mention there is already a lot of work going on in the same block. The other two projects may have to reach a certain phase before work can start on the hotel.

An article from September popped up recently and when I read it , I noticed something I hadn't seen before:

"Retailers have shown 'tons of interest,' but 'because of what’s happening in retail, we don’t want to take the risk of signing a lease with somebody that’s not here'. "

The way I read that is they aren't interested in retail that is not currently located in Greenville.  Am I reading too much into it?  While I think some of the mall stores would do well downtown, I hope the retail component of this development is not just a shuffling of stores already in this market.  Hoping to see something new to the market.

I give these 5-10 years before they switch to condos.

Anyone know the total apartment count in DT now? What's the occupancy rate?

Would be nice to get some office tenants that are new to the downtown area instead of just relocated ones which add to the vacancy rate.

It's nice to see that they're growing. That will free up at least 3 floors in the 200 East Broad building of contiguous space. Hopefully they're able to land a sizable tenant that is not currently downtown.

They keep getting tenants but there is no building. :tw_confused:

Pretty bad when one of the world’s largest banks becomes your anchor tenant and you still can’t get financing. I blame the government shutdown.

I’m trying to figure out why these tenants are deciding to locate here instead of at current empty office space downtown like ONE.
