Here are two photos I took of Ingham County, Michigan's county courthouse. Lansing is the only capital city in the United States that does not also include the county seat. The Ingham County Courthouse is in the small town of Mason a few miles south:

Just for the record, I believe that some counties in Mississippi have two county seats. I think some of the state's Gulf coast counties do this.

Oh yeah I forgot about this topic. I've actually been building up a little collection of Arkansas county courthouses. I'll look through my pics and try to post what I've got so far.

Here's some Arkansas courthouses I've taken in the last 6 months or so. The first is the Jefferson County Courthouse located in Pine Bluff, in southeast Arkansas.

Here's the Pulaski County Courthouse located in Little Rock, central Arkansas.

Here's the Grant County Courthouse in Sheridan, southern Arkansas.

Here's the Crawford County Courthouse in Van Buren, western Arkansas.

Here's a couple of pics of the Old Washington County Courthouse here in my town of Fayetteville, northwest Arkansas. The current one was built in the 1980's. I'll have to dig out some old pics to get that pic.

I also have a pic of the Benton County Courthouse in Bentonville, northwest Arkansas. But it's on an older pic disk that might take me a bit to get to.

This is the Beltrami County courthouse in Bemidji, Minnesota. It was built in 1912. I don't have a lot of other details on it, but it's a very beautiful building.

Yeah I wish I had some more details on some of my pics as well. I do know the Old Washington County Courthouse was built in 1905. But as far as the other cities I'm not sure.

And for good measure, the old courthouse from the 50's. The county is not quite sure what to do with this building, they are looking at moving out the offices to more modern space. It will probably be redeveloped, but there has been talk of taking it out for a tower or some other development...
