It sounds as if the intention is to have local restaurants/food truck types that provide lots of options with a brewery/cocktail options/ entertainment.  There is one in Columbus that is very popular and I've been to ones in Stockholm and Barcelona and they are great!!!

I was just walking  down 5th to grab a bite, a beer, and some music before the preds game and saw John looking at the signs on the fence. He was on the phone so I didn't say hi. But if you are reading this Hey John!

He was on the phone with me and says the signage now says 25 story office building and coming in 2020. I dont know if our site has the floors wrong or if this is a reduction.

I think they were targeting a 2019 completion.

He is reading the site, but has been 2 years since a post.

Believe the sign.  Experience tells me not to take the word of a reporter, especially when it comes to numbers/figures related to a construction project. William Williams and a handful of others notwithstanding, rarely do they get all the facts straight.  I've often seen billion dollar projects described as "million dollar".  And floor counts for buildings proposed in Nashville are often misreported.

Fair enough.

Besides, ultimately, there isn't much of a difference between a 25 story and 26 story building as far as the eye can see.

How old does the JWM make the Omni look now? It looks like some rundown hotel with all the curtains showing through the windows.

Omni's a nice hotel. It has good restaurants on the ground floor and the exterior space between it and MCC is striking. I much enjoy using it.

The Omni is a nice hotel, but the exterior (of the hotel section) is not nice in my opinion

The Westin has a classy interior and a stylish rooftop lounge. Its a big improvement over the Methodist Bookstore.
