I went to see the new Loretta Lynn statue at the Ryman around 8am this morning and inadvertently witnessed a very gruesome accident as a construction worker was runover by a large dump truck slowly going in reverse on Fifth.     Jarring to see.   It happened in slow motion.   Hoping that some news comes out that he is OK.

5th Ave. North has been resurfaced, new markings painted, and finally open both ways again.

Dry House, a hair salon known for its celebrity clientele, will be opening a 1,000 sq. ft. location at 5th & Broadway.

Seeing all the elegant finishes on the food hall and other retail outlets in FifthandB makes me wonder when they are going to do something about the raw concrete on the north and south walls of the utility screen on The Place.

The National Museum of African American Music inside 5th & Broadway should be open by the end of the year according to CEO Henry Beecher Hicks.
